Hi there— My name is Taylor Ly. I have been sewing since the age of 8, beginning with toy design and construction. I quickly expanded my work into props, clothing, costuming, bags, hats, and any other textile-based craft I could learn about. I often joke that if it involves any kind of textile I will try it, just to add the skill to my list!

My initial education is in Public Health, but after 3 long years working at the Salt Lake County Health Department, I made a shift. I have been working in Fashion/Apparel & Textiles ever since, and never looked back.

I am currently pursuing a degree in Fashion Design from SLCC, as well as a professional license in Secondary Education through the Utah State APPEL Program. I began teaching high school (9th-12th) sewing and fashion design classes in the 2023-2024 school year at West High. Nothing has ever brought me more joy, fulfillment, and satisfaction than teaching. I have truly found the job I want for the rest of my life!
